Training Camp FAQs

*Note – there may be some variation according to the specific camp you are attending. For up to date information and questions, please visit the Facebook Event Page for that camp. Links to those event pages are found here: Training Camps

Who is Camp Elite for? Adult camps are for skaters that want to learn high level roller derby skills and strategy and who currently play under the WFTDA ruleset per the WFTDA gender policy (https://wftda.com/wftda-gender-statement/)

Junior camps are open to girls-only and co-ed teams.

Can I bring my teammates? Yes! This is a team based learning camp. You can buy tickets in groups of 5 and come with your team mates. Or buy an individual ticket and we will group you with skaters of similar skating level.

Can 6 or more skaters of my team attend? Yes, once your team purchases as Group Pass, please contact us to receive codes to add additional skaters and coaches to the group. Additional skaters will pay the same price as the other group members.

I am a coach, can I come and learn? Yes! We encourage teams to bring their coaches to learn along side them. There are Group + Coaches passes available (5 skaters plus one off-skates coach) and single coach passes if your team is unable to attend.

I’m a beginner skater, can I come and learn? Yes! We have spectator passes available for you to come and watch and learn.

How much do tickets cost? Ticket prices vary depending on the camp you are attending, so please visit the Facebook Event Page for that camp. Links to those event pages are found here: Training Camps

2017 prices are listed below for reference:

Early Bird Skater Pass: $219    Early Bird Group Pass (5 skaters): $999    Early Bird Group Pass w/coach (5 skaters + coach off skates) $1,099    Early Bird Coach Pass: $129

Can I purchase a single day ticket? Because the camp is structured around team learning and is built on a progressive learning model, we highly encourage you to attend all three days. However, if you already have a team of 5 attending the clinic we do have an option for you to join them for just a single day.  Please email us at eliterollerderby@gmail.com for more info.

Can our team do installments? Yes we have an installment option where you can split a group pass into two installments.  Please email us at eliterollerderby@gmail.com for more info.

What extra things should I bring to the camp? Please bring a white, black and colored shirt (make sure your team brings the same color!) for scrimmaging. Please also bring runners for off skates work, a notebook and anything else you need for a full day of derby learning.

Are Juniors allowed to attend?  Unless the camp is a Junior specific camp it is only open to adult skaters.

My plans have changed, can I get a refund? Unfortunately we are not able to offer refunds for tickets or Save Our Spot deposits. We can transfer your ticket to someone else or postpone it for next year. Email eliterollerderby@gmail.com to transfer or postpone.

What happens if a camp is cancelled? In the unlikely event that a camp is cancelled, you will receive a full refund for your ticket, including ticket fees.  Camp Elite is not responsible for any lost travel expenses incurred by yourself or your team.

I have another question – who do I ask? Email us at eliterollerderby@gmail.com.
